ESPN announced the that they have cancelled vert skateboarding. Citing lack of audience and not much vert athletes to compete and not a lot of vert ramps to ride. Vert is out of the game in this summer X-Games. What do you guys think?

Vert’s not dead…just ESPN’s marketing department and initiative among young skaters. Just a phase. Eventually kids will start building half-pipes in backyards again after they realize no one’s really impressed because they ding the walls of office buildings and scrape rails.
Same thing happened back in the 70’s. Just like clothes and music, it goes in cycles. I mean, you can only do so much on the ground. At some point you have to explore airspace or you might as well just stick to your video games and pretend to be Tony Hawk.
